A Four-spotted Chaser basks in the sun at Whitecross Green Wood.

Nine species of Butterfly at a location in Buckinghamshire, one of which was new to me - a few Wood White were either constantly moving in the sun, or sitting still in the gloom making photography a challenge !

Ahoy Skipper !

Ten species, in total, in the Bedfordshire brickpits on another fine day. On the Callows by Stewartby Lake a Dingy Skipper, three Grizzled Skipper and four Green Hairstreak were on show.

A Large Red Damselfly was on the wing - my first 'dragon' of the season.
